The difference between machined saggars and pressed saggars

1Processing technology of machined saggars:

Petroleum coke powder → kneading → rolling into sheets → re-pulverizing into powder → pressing into shape → roasting at 900°C → impregnation → re-roasting at 900°C (repeated roasting to increase bulk density) → graphitization at 2900°C → machining to hollow out the core to form a graphite saggar.

2One-time forming production process for graphite saggars:

powder from the market → Add binder → One-time extrusion molding in a mold → Sintering at approximately 800°C → Ready for sale

3Advantages of machined saggars:

1.High strength, good toughness, low electrical resistance, excellent flexural and compressive properties.

2.High purity, low sulfur and ash content (volatilized after 2900°C graphitization), minimal impurities, pollution-free, and good corrosion resistance.

3.Dimensionally stable at high temperatures,resistant to damage, anti-oxidation, excellent reductive atmosphere compatibility, and high sintering yield rate.

4Disadvantages of one-time forming graphite saggars:

High impurity content, serious pollution, low strength, poor oxidation resistance, poor corrosion resistance, prone to damage, and the volatilization of impurities in the graphite saggar during the sintering process easily contaminates the product.
